my granddaughters just celebrated her 9th birthday and wanted a camera so I bought her a kodak pixpro for $139.00 its waterproof, dust proof, shock proof, 16 mega pixel camera for her first camera, mainly because of those features. I took her out yesterday to take some pics and try to teach her about composition and leading lines and lighting, she actually said I just want to take some pictures papa, anyway these are her results.

Hi dear friend! She did herself proud. No fault with composition and the focus is right on. I'm glad you shared these with us.

Looks like she has a knack. Encourage her and hopefully she'll really start to love photography.

She did very well. I taught Fifth graders photography and some younger groups. what I’m always impressed with is what I call a “Child’s Eye”. Just really look at what they shoot before they learn all the rules and lose this great talent. They see everything and will shoot everything. A patch of wallpaper a creek rock, broken sticks a dogs nose etc. it is fun and yes they don’t know the rules of composition they just want to have fun. This is what we need to do at times just to bring back that excitement of photography. Your house and backyard is full of things just waiting for that “CHILDS EYE”

Very well done. In addition, it gives you a great opportunity to share time and common interests with her. That's priceless along with the memories she'll be collecting.

Great job! stay with it. I started photography when I was 8, Later became a pro, doing weddings, dance recitals, portraits and more. Now retired and am enjoying photography more then ever. All because my grandmother bought me my first camera at 8 years old. The Bob Cummings show on TV helped spur my interest also. For those of you that remember that far back. Keep shooting sweetie you will have a life time of enjoyment.
