Holy Cow! 180 meters with a bow!!! I shot long bow for a long time. Mostly hunting, not competition. Finally switched to compound. Never liked compounds too much but they get the job done so I used them. Most recently switched to cross bow, I'm still trying to decide if I like it. But it most definitely gets the job done. Used it on a private American Bison ranch last year. Hoo Wee.!!
That's some very nice craftmanship and nice photos too. I like it.

I've mentioned before just how much I miss my archery since my spine was damaged...just sorting some pics out and ran across these..
This is just a small sample of some of the things I made over the years..not only for my target archery but my medieval archery group...
Some of these pics are old film shots and not the best quality...

Interesting set Ron

Thank you, being a mechanical engineer, I chose the compound for my target archery as I liked the modern technology...shot a longbow, recurve and crossbow as well...
I also achieved something very few have ever done, six gold at 180meters, gave me a bit of a thrill...

No Chuck, made most of it from high grade alluminium...other bits like sword and knife hilts are brass and the blades, spring steel....

Thanks Chuck, it's illegal to carry them here in Australia but I had special permission from the Police as they were part of our medieval show...we did all the medieval shows/fairs in South Australia...

I thought I saw forging, leatherwork and a lot of machine shop items. On reading your descriptions you probably didn't do any forging, but as a 50 year veteran in the machine shop, I can say your skills are beyond compare.Enjoyed each frame of images.

Thank you Janos...yes, I dabbled in some leather work but very rough to suit the period...
