I would like to get some help choosing a ultra wide angle lens that will take filters , I already have a Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 which gives very good images but won't except any filters because of the bulbus front element . Does anyone out there have any suggestions , thanx in advance.

If you have a mirrorless, the Rokinon 12mm 2.0 is a nice, inexpensive lens - very sharp with very little distortion. If you only have a Canon or Nikon, the 14 mm is just as good. Compact lenses - both. Filter size on the 12 is 67mm. Here is the 12 mm.

I don't believe the Rokinon 14mm accepts a threaded filter in front, which the OP wants. The 12mm does, as stated above.

I use Kase magnetic filters & shooting landscapes

Nd filters?

Cpl filters will be hard to use with such a wide lens.

The Sigma 10-20mm is labeled for 77mm filters and does have threads.
I would never put more glass here - for one thing I don't need it that often - but apparently it is possible.

Don’t know if it’s wide enough for you, but I have the Nikon 16/35 and it works a charm. The VR is quite good. Good luck sorting out your needs.

I concur with this opinion. Great lens.

I am tired of people saying this lens can't take filters Its an excuse not to buy it Haida filters makes a great filter adapter out of alluminum to take 150mim square glass filters and 170mm x150mm split nd filters and a new series of magnetic filters designed just for this lens with no vignetting with 3 stacked filters I know because I own it ..yes the filters are not cheap. But 6 x 6 glass filters have never been cheap this big of a piece of glass needs 6 x 6 . And there is another brand called Wonderpana . I leave halve of my adapter mount on all the time it just won't fit in the bag that comes with it . My wide lens bag just for this lens is a Lowepro flipside AW 200 it holds a nodal rig lens filter pack remote trigger and accessories for Milky way shooting and landscapes . An expensive lens yes filters also expensive but would also be expensive if screw on . Just don't say this lens does not take filters . Haida has a new magnetic filter set called M15 150mm filter system for ultra wide lens they have an M10 system for smaller 100mm filters along with an M75 75mm filter system..... .

The sigma 10-20mm takes filters as well as the Tokina 11-16

Sigma makes a 14 mm fixed F 1.8 art lens but it's a monster and has the bulbous lens element but it's wonderful for a wide-angle lens
