Agree. I rarely use flash except for family snaps, but the few times I have used the Neewer in multi flash setups, it has performed perfectly.

Thank you. Neewer sounds like a good choice.

Greetings
I need your valuable opinions. I want to buy an on camera flash unit for my Nikon camera. It doesn't have a built in pop up flash. Normally I don't use flash but I thought I should have one if needed. I see Neewer have inexpensive TTL units.
Is Neewer a reliable brand?
Thank you

Yes, they are accurate in TTL.

Neewer and Godox both good. I have Godox 850's, and Nikon SB800's, as well as a new (used) SB5000 from MPB.

You may want to consider shopping MPB.com and pick up a Nikon SB300 speedlight. Inexpensive, powerful for close fill and easy to stow. I plan on buying that for my D850 as a popup flash since it doesnt have one.

I have purchased 5 various items from MPB with great success. Saved hundreds of bucks and even got stuff thrown in extra that I didnt expect.

Yes Neewer are reliable as are the Godox/flashpoint and Yuongo. They will get the job done. Just don’t expect them to last as long as a Nikon speedlights. However at the price difference you can afford to buy and replace them. I have used the flashpoint speedlights for about 3 years now with no problems.
For what you want to do with it, just to throw in your bag in case you occasionally need flash the Neewer are perfect.

You are correct. Thanks for catching my gaff. I was thinking MPB but apparently short circuited with KEH. MPB is what I meant. I corrected post. At any rate, I have a Nikon SD-9 battery pack also coming from MPB, stated as excellent condition for 50% off the Nikon MSRP! We shall see. I need coffee! Still in a fog. LOL

I have been using Neewer 750 ll flashes for 2 years in real estate. Have had them fall off door tops to tile floors. No plastic broken, just put pieces back together and they still work! Thousands of flashes.

I use a Nikon SB-600 speedlight. This is a flash, like other Nikon speedlights that was specifically made to work with Nikon cameras. Prices in the second hand market are very reasonable.
Third party flash in a majority of cases work well. These in camera flash in general do not take the punishment of OEM but if you are going to use it only occasionally it will serve you well. I am not familiar with Neewer, I use a small Godox flash for my Olympus cameras and it works very nicely with it and I do not abuse it. I decided to go with it to keep the size of the camera and flash small enough for my needs. I tend to use the flash in the manual mode even when bouncing the light.

I need a lightweight flash so I initially looked at Nikon SB 300, SB500, and the SB700. I think the SB700 would be too big and heavy. I was ready to buy the SB500 when I saw the Neewer 750ll had all the same features as the SB500 at 1/5 the price. So I turned to my friends on UHH whose opinions I trust. Setting the cost aside are there any big differences between the Nikon flash and Neewer flash. Please know that I am new to flash photography. Prior to owning this Nikon D500 I had a Canon Rebel with a pop up flash.
Thank you

Considering the light weight usage for the flash that you indicate you should consider the Nikon SB-400. Read Ken Rockwell's review on this (https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/sb400.htm), you can also search here on UHH for information and opinions on this unit. It is very compact with excellent power for its size and can easily be carried in a pocket.
I am so impressed with it that I have two.
