Questions for iPad users with ios6

I have an ipad 2 with ios5. It periodically asks me if I want to download and install ios6.
I have heard that ios6 includes a new map system that is not based on Google maps, and that it has less functionality and more bugs than the Google maps app on ios5.
My first question is directed at anyone who used the ios5 map system and then the ios6 system - have you lost any functionality that you miss?
My second question is directed at anyone who is using ios6 - are you able to download and install the old map app?

The old map is gone but you can always get it through the Google website. I haven't had occasion to test it for the alleged bugs then I never used the old one either. I use a GPS for places I am unfamiliar with.
I just entered my work address (3 possible ways to go) and it did validate the route I use most often.

Just enter google.maps.com and it will ask you to install the app. It works a treat. The new one is useless.

Looks like I'll have to investigate this as well, although I have other GPS units & don't rely on any online map services any more.

There is no street view and the images are not as clear as they were on ios5

Go to MaoQuest. It is a free download, and I used rather than the original Maps. Don't really like the new Maps that came with IOS6 !

The YouTube icon disappeared when I upgraded. The google replacement sucks worse than, we'll, it just sucks. Have to use it in portrait mode until you starts video then the image quality is terrible. Apple needs to have it,s butt kicked a little to stay focuses on customers. It will if it doesn't take care of them once it loses it's cult status.
Another thing I noticed is the keyboard when you want to use the apostrophe and quotes. Under ios5 you just momentarily held the comma and period key down momentarily and it just happened. Now you have to hold the same keys down then move up to select the character. Slower and not as good.
Oh we'll, just Applecrap to endure.

I have an app called "Quick Office Pro" which did not work and also my "You Version" Bible. However I deleted them from ipod, then synced with computer and they work fine now.
