Most all surfers wear the traditional black wetsuits. Today I couldn't help notice The surfer girl in the white wetsuit. Maybe because she had blonde hair and a white board and the breaking waves were white foam. Everything seemed to lean in the direction of white and my artistic eye was drawn to it. I even enhanced a couple of these photos and layered the edges in white to pop out the main subject.
On purpose I didn't submit these photos in the "sports" category since many of the photos are the surfer girl just entering the water.
These all look best in download mode.

Brent, great set and DDLs show off how sharp they are. I like the affect your layered photos eliminated some of the white, an interesting concept.

An aside, wearing white may invite a strike from a shark. I am thinking that a lot of the prey items that fish feed on have white undersides.

I hope you can find her too. Most surfers that surf a lot have several wetsuits and she may outgrow the white one. Let me know when you’re going to photograph the surfers and I’ll be your personal guide!

Hey, I may take you up on that...if my wife lets me🤪
And let me also, as someone else, offer props for leaving most of face out of the set. Your motive is right on👍

I purposely chose the photographs for this series to not show her face much at all. I felt that since she was so young that I shouldn’t show her face.Glad to share with you!

Brent, you are a true gentleman sir

Thanks Tom.......I know since she was in a public place I could legally photograph her, but just think if you were her parents...........would you want her face plastered on the WWW?? Probably not! Now days there are all kinds of people out there with bad intent.

These are great! #2 really pops. Have you tried to crop #3 for a closer look at her the the surfer in black? Great job! Thanks for sharing.

I have not tried to crop #3 at all. I think the surfer is out of focus and the wave is very bad. It does help set the stage for the surfer girl in white though! Glad to share with you.

Good point Greg about the white undersides of prey to sharks. News about sharks always draws interest from people in Southern California. The news people seem to pardon the pun "prey" on it! There are much more dangerous waters because of sharks in other places like Australia. I have a surfing buddy that really is freaked out by the slightest mention of sharks. He is paranoid.
