The first picture is interesting.
It is a 'rose', as is a 'real' strawberry.
And apple's, pears, and others.
This is a Cinquefoil. The cinque may refer to the five petals in the flower. Snakeberry is the name I grew up with.
My box turtles ate them, my snakes didn't ( ever try to convert a snake to vegetarianism?).
And no excuse needed for not kowtowing to this plant, too common, too hard to get back up.
