you notice he is eating the face and head even tho this is the hard part to eat. I noticed this one time when I saw one with a resent catch. I asked our local expert about it. She said the males often stop and eat the face and head before taking the best parts back to the net for the rest of the family.

I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. From a photography standpoint, it was slim pickings until I looked behind me to see this Osprey with a catch heading for a nearby tree. Must say he made a most willing subject. The fish looks like a Barred sand bass. Still getting the feel of this new camera. 80/400. Best viewed downloaded. Thanks for viewing.

Nice sequence and one very happy Osprey.

Great shots and the fish is bigger than any that I have ever caught so I'm impressed by both.

Don, fantastic set as others have stated. A DDLs show how sharp it really is.

Excellent downloads, Don, and past time for ours to make an appearance, although at least the male is probably around and I just haven't seen him.
