Can you image what it would be like if you turned up at a beauty spot and everyone was flying drones!! People flying drones are solely thinking about themselves. They have no respect for other people who find it annoying to have a drone buzzing around overhead when they are trying to enjoy their holiday. I am sure this will prompt some negative press, but just think about how others may feel when your drone is buzzing around them.

Almost as bad are people who insist on moving in front of everyone else so their rear is in everyone's landscape photo. About 10 years ago, I hiked the Chilkoot Trail from Skagway to Bennett Lake. To get back to Skagway, we took the White Pass and Yukon Railroad. On that day they were using their steam locomotive. At a scenic spot, they stopped and let everyone get off. The train backed up and then came forward so everyone could get a shot of the steam locomotive chugging forward spewing steam. There was that one person who had to get that special shot and no amount of yelling would make that photographer budge. I managed to crop the photo slightly to eliminate the photographer, but I was angered by their rudeness and inconsideration.

I've had drones buzzing over me while hiking in some pretty secluded places; very annoying when you are looking for quiet and solitude...

Had similar experiences, waiting for those cheap EMP (electro magnetic pulse) guns to fry a drone's circuitry and let it drop out of the sky. Unfortunately, that sort of technology will spiral out of control.

I've wondered if a signal disruptor (cell phone jammer) would work - yeah, I know they're not legal either.

We are going on the Pride of America cruise ship doing the islands of Hawaii.....some friends of ours just came back from the same cruise and they told me that there was a sign as your board the ship "No Drone's on the Ship"......Needless to say I am a little PO.........Does anyone know what Islands allow drones......one of our excursions told me to 'yes' bring your drone......Has anyone ran into this before .....if so what did you do....any suggestions.
Thanks

This says it all about drones and the narcissistic, totally self absorbed licensed drone flyers and secondarily those who are not.

I think it takes a narcissist to spend time searching for articles that prove their point of view is the only correct point of view.

There are several couples in my area tha absolutely love the idea of aerial shots of their wedding. Noise or not. I always do a test flight so they can hear the rotor, and I have never had anyone change their mind because of sound. I pay extra for sound reducing props, and do my best to get the shots quickly and land.. but I am the narcissist?

They want the noise etc.
Try flying that same drone uninvited over a wedding and see how joyous the wedding party are.
You totally did not comprehend that people generally despise the stupid narcissistic drone operator buzzing them, uninvited, for the sole pleasure of the narcissist at the annoyance of the rest of the world.
