Welcome aboard. We are all here to have some fun and learn more about this process we call photography. New borns are not an easy subject. Your #1 is proof, but #2 is a Zinger!!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

Your shots are good, especially #2. #1 is good but I would like to see some space between the baby's hand and the edge of the shot.

I agree that number 2 is the better one.
The more I look at number 1, the more I see stuff that is wrong with it.

We probably all see more in our own work after a few decent comments from others.
I really like #2.
