for some reason, my first posting on this topic did not include the photo. Try again!

I like taking photos of classis autos in the junkyard.
My family had a Buick just like this. As an early "teener", I tried "scratching off" in the dirt in front of my grandparents house in the country: barely rippled the sand. :-)
Mom would not accept a car if it wasn't a Buick. Dad had to return as beautiful Chevy 2 dr hardtop, and buy another Buick.

Glad to see you found this fine Buick. I am guessing '52 because of the rear window.

Go on the web. The '53 had a one piece rear window, the '52 had a three piece.

Brought back memories! In the late 60’s, we used to drive to football practice in a ‘53. Floor was gone, rusted out, big holes. You had to watch where you put your feet. I don’t know how my buddy’s Dad got that through inspection in Lehigh Valley, PA. When we didn’t use the Buick we went to practice on a Honda Super 90. Two guys around 200 pounds on a 90! We must have looked like we were from a 3rd world country. Thanks for sending that picture. Is it a ‘52 or a ‘53, btw?

I agree. The headlight design is 1953.

Those are two that should not be left to further rust away! That Buick could still turn into a beautifully restored car. You did a great job with the photography!

That’s a very restorable ‘53.

52. IMHO the 1954 Buick was the most beautiful ever.

The 53 Skylark was better looking than the 54.
