I recently purchased an HP Z27. I did considerable research and decided on it. I've been very satisfied and it didn't break the bank. I would suggest just add it to the ones you check out.

Will do

I'll check it out, as well as the BenQ, thanks!

Sounds like a reasonable approach. My decision came down to those two. I picked the cheaper option. Either would work. Good luck and let us know how it works out.

I'm tired of sharing the family desktop, and I'm looking to get myself a MacBook Pro laptop for my photography and other business. Are the 13" screens too small for field shooting and using LR & Pshop?

I just bought a new laptop PC to replace my old ASUS laptop that was running very slow even though it was an i7 quad core. My main computer is my IMAC 27" for photo editing etc. but I use the PC laptop for programs not available for the MAC. I asked for help from UHH forum and opinions ranged from getting a 15.6" laptop with a 24" monitor but not a gaming monitor. For the specs I sort of knew what I wanted but I appreciated the help from UHH. I finally bought an 17" i7 hexa core ASUS ROG Strix III 144HZ gaming laptop from Best Buy. I was on sale ($500 saving). It has 512GB SSD with 16GB Ram. The computer is very fast. I am no expert but I think a 13" screen is too small for photo editing. You could get a laptop with a 15.6" screen than get an external monitor. There are a number of non gaming laptops that are good including Apple, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS. I would stay away from HP.

I do have a question myself. I have not got a security software yet for my new laptop. Windows 10 has an icon for McAfee and is set up for that program. I used Kaspersky on my old laptop but wonder if I should switch to McAfee or continue to use Kaspersky or go with Norton that seems to get good reviews. I read some complaints about McAffee that it is not good.
Any suggestions? Also, I have a disk for Office Pro 2013 that was installed on my old Windows 7 laptop. I have not tried yet but I wonder if I can use Office Pro 2013 on Windows 10. The guy who sold me the new laptop at Best Buy says it is only meant for Windows 7 which to me does not seem right.
Also, I have Affinity Photo on my MAC computer and wonder if I should buy Affinity Photo for the laptop as well or go with another program like lightroom, Corel, Paint shop Pro, PSE, ON1. I still use Aperture 3 on my 10 year old MAC and did not want to use Lightroom on my MAC.
