For Canon users (like me), I personally like the UK’s EOS magazine pocket guides. They are reasonably priced ($7.95 US), especially for you (reduced shipping).

I can't recommend this magazine highly enough for CANON users and the shop is fairly good too. They also have on on-line forum that's worth perusing.

Totally agree! I have a digital subscription and look forward to every quarterly issue. Have you ever come across an issue index?

I have a “bunch” of the pocket guides. Lucky for me, I think I have all I “need.”

I believe one is available for digital subscribers - but not to print subscribers like me.
They're not a million miles away from me and in a nice part of the country. Maybe I'll make a visit and ask.

P.S. There must be. Just looked at the subscriptions page and it said you have access (at a cost) to all issues from April 2006. You'd need some sort of index to know which ones you wanted.

I think life is good, John.

I am enjoying the endorsements of the EOS magazine. It is a great publication.

But can I yet tap your experiences for a good pdf reader please?
I have a great very-detailed and very long pdf, sort of an Affinity Photo Bible. It is extremely long, and very small print. Do you guys have a pdf reader that has options permitting us options.

I just use Apple Preview on the Mac. It is free, and MUCH faster than Acrobat Reader DC. It works in 98% of all instances. I only need the real thing when creating or completing certain PDF forms.

Some content creators lock their PDFs to prevent copyright infringement or copying. Others lock you out of printing anything. I've seen camera manuals that are meant to be used on computers, tablets and smartphones ONLY. They will not print. Others will print with 'COPY' ghosted in very large letters, across every page, at an angle.

Most PDF readers have a View menu that allows you to vary the page magnification when viewing (see below). On smartphones and tablets, rotating the tablet to horizontal, and viewing the document by using your fingers to drag, pinch, and spread, you can move around a page and zoom in and out.

Are you trying to print the "user manual" or the "reference manual"?
Note that the user manual is only two logical pages and IMHO worthless.
Download the reference manual free from Nikon You will be amazed by what you can do with your camera.

In trying to print specific pages in the Nikon D5600 PDF manual, the resulting page printouts are very hard to read, the size of the printed letters and figures are exceedingly small and the details in the pictures and diagrams are quite often illegible. Is there any way to print these PDF pages out in a much larger, clearer manner? I am using Windows 10 and an Epson XP-400 printer and usually have no issues in printing anything but have no experience with modifying PDF printing so would appreciate any advice from those who have successfully enlarged and clarified PDF prints.

I have found that if you download the .pdf to your computer, it will print out to fit the size of the page. However, whenever I've tried to print a .pdf file directly from the webpage, it prints out in a box about 1/4 the size of the page and you can't read the tiny print.
