After looking at the first two photos of your Mom, it reminded me of this Bible passage:
1 Peter 3:3-4 (NASB)
3 Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
Beautiful lady, and beautiful tribute from her son.

I wanted to share a few photos of this special lady that made and raised me. My mother Ms. Lane was a single mother and I was raised with love. I don’t ever remember as a child needing for anything and I can’t even recall as a child asking that question of where is my daddy. She calls me her confidon. When I was a young boy she used to sing in my ear a special song to me called “Me and you against the world” by Helen Reddy and I remember every lyric to the song till this day as if it was yesterday. Just to give you a example of our bond. Anyways I was thinking of her earlier today when I was responding to a comment on one of my post about being conceived in Athens Ohio at Ohio University so i wanted to share with y’all a few pictures of a Black Queen who made a King.

Your very lucky to have been raised by a loving Mom. I too had a wonder loving Mom. As the twig is bent the tree will grow. There are so many today not as lucky as we were.
Beautiful tribute to a wonderful Mom. Thank you.
Ced, at some time in the future when you look back over your life, the material wealth that you have gathered will not mean anything in comparison to the cherished memories of the the time and times you shared with those you cared for and who cared for you. But then you already know that. Keep taking pictures of your mom and the other special people in your life.

We look at a lot of photos on UHH. Every once in a while you look at the pictures, read the text, and it just makes you feel good.
This is one of those times. Thanks for posting.
