I'm having a major problem with Windows 10 and Lightroom following an attack by a scammer. Does anyone have the actual phone number for Windows 10 Tech Support? I have found at least 2 dozen phone numbers claiming to be Windows Tech Support. I don't want to call a scammer's number.
Do you have a Microsoft Store near you? Ours has a repair facility at that location, might be a help. That's where I went when I needed help.

Go to Microsoft.com and find support and find the technical support chat option. It may depend on the time of day, but I've had success on multiple issues on multiple computers. You may need to have a registered 'MSN' account, something easy to do at the same Microsoft site.

Go to the search box type in recovery, follow on screen instruction and send your machine back to an earlier setting before you security Was comprised
Tried that earlier and it said there were no recovery point set, even though there had been. All history, settings, etc. were wiped out.

I doubt if this is fake. No promises, but this is who I would call. Pick your region and country.

If you can find a nearby Microsoft store they are very helpful.
I think you can leave the computer and they will clean it up...
Just describe the problem please and maybe we can help.
If you still have internet access and a functioning Win 10, just type, "Microsoft Support" in the Cortana search box (just to the right of the Windows Logo), follow prompts and answer questions. Within a short period of time Microsoft will call you.

So the problem is neither with Windows nor Lightroom. Hmm . . .
Can you describe what your computer is doing? Have you run a malware identification/removal tool? I suggest you run an online scan using Malwarebytes or install Avast! Both have free versions. If that fails you might need someone who can reverse-hack a malware attack, but you first need to identify what is in your computer. A "scammer attack" is meaningless to anyone trying to help you. It's like going to the auto mechanic and
telling him that the car is making a funny noise. A lot more information is necessary, otherwise you will get many well-meaning but totally misleading information on what steps to take which could make your problems worse.
Microsoft will only go so far in ameliorating a virus attack. There are better and more efficient alternatives.

Sorry - my error! I did not read carefully. I think Gene51 has a reasonable path to follow.
