In December we went to Horseshoe Bend. The first photo is of the first night sunset. As I stood there with the tripod snapping away I notice the full moon coming up right behind us. I mention to the guy standing next to me "wouldn't it have been nice if the full moon was over Horseshoe Bend! Next morning, guess what it was right there where I wanted it but it was sort of cloudy, then 15-20 minutes later the clouds had faded and the moon was clear! Then it was gone and the sun was coming out!

THX--I was using a crop sensor.

With a crop sensor Canon has a 10-18 that is not super expensive. I have it for my crop sensor and it does a good job!

Great set of photos. I like no 3 the best, although there is a small horizon problem in that frame. All are quite good!

You know, I was having one heck of a time figuring out what was exactly level. The camera said level and with the uneven background I never found one that I thought was just right in PP. πŸ˜•
