Looking for a photo companion that would like to spend a week or so in Turkey.
I was there a few years ago and loved the city. It is an easy city to get around and I don't think one needs a tour.
I'm a solo traveler and would like to join forces with a fellow photographer (Male or Female)
Pm me if you would like to discuss this.

Hard request, wish you luck. Was there a few years ago but if you are buying I am willing to go again. <grin>

Otherwise, sorry to say, I have enough problems getting my wife to go on trips with me.

I'd go, but I enjoy life too much.

I live in a senior community and many of our residents have time and money to travel. But, most show good sense in safety in travel. Some, however, do not. If any of those get caught up in world events and are damaged by their lack of good sense in where they go, I have no sympathy for them. Let the traveler beware. With an escalation of tension with Iran, who in their right mind would go the the mid-east???

I understand Iran is great this time of year. Frankly, I'd stay far away from the middle east.

Since much of the country is under State Dept Travel Warnings, I could think of far better and civilized places to visit.

I felt safer there then i do in San Francisco. There were no homeless, very little crime, friendly people from all over the world.

Ummm? Also like to go, but don't have a Kevlar Vest. Not safe over there I presume.

I don't believe that Istanbul is in the war zone. Our government has issued a travel warning about Iran and not about Turkey.

Exactly what I was thinking. Hmmm let's lay this out. An American with a camera in Turkey taking photos of the buildings. Yep sounds like a suicide mission to me.

I read the alert and Istanbul was not on the list. That city is as far from the red zone as possible.
Maybe we should issue alerts about going to a church in Tx. and other states. At this stage in history nowhere is 100% safe.
