I was a fan of the weather there. It was 55 and sunny and when I got back to central Wisconsin it was 34 with thick fog. Yuck!

That's why we usually go south for the winter. Sometimes that yucky weather goes all the way to the Gulf.

Definitely an AA, probably 20mm. I think the Canadian AF is too sophisticated for it to be of much use.

Where is this in relation to Ft Sheridan? I was stationed there after 15 months in S. Korea. I'm just curious, I don't remember seeing anything like that.

That's funny, because I used to say the same thing when I was stationed at Ft Sheridan after doing 15 months in S. Korea. I was in an Ordinance Unit, and we maintained and repaired Nike Hercules Missiles along Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago. The Missiles were underground and had to be brought up on elevators to the launchers. I used to joke about why we had underground Missiles in Chicago, is someone afraid Canada is going to attack.

It's just north of the old water tower in the housing area. It's part of the forest preserve.
