Well Christmas is over. My credit card is finished with Xmas gifts this year. I set a Xmas limit of $2700, and was able to treat myself out of that limit, to a new Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm wide angle zoom lens. Price $277. I needed a wider zoom lens than my kit lens, an 18-55mm. I gave bottles of red and white wines to some of my friends, along with giving a half dozen SanDisk 64gb Ultra SD cards to them. Non photography gifts to close relatives were the bigger part of my budget. There are/were some good camera deals this year. The best one I saw, was the Canon 5D Mark 4 camera, selling Brand New for $2000, and the Nikon SB-700 flash unit selling for $296. Nikon and Canon had their customary entry-level, 2 lens kits. Nikon had D3500/D5600 two lens bundle kits. Sold mostly everywhere. What photography equipment did you treat yourself to this Xmas? I call it. From Me To Me Xmas Gifts.
A bit better darkroom wherein I can process film a bit more efficiently, a 40mm Zeiss lens, a 135mm Nikkor lens, 100ft of Ilford HP-5+, 25 sheets of Ilford FP-4+, and 10 rolls of Ilford HP-5+.

So far holding off till I free up IRA cash after the first of the year. Then my Z6 kit might turn into a D850.
Nothing. My son heads back to college with a $2400 computer. Will be buying my gift at my birthday this summer.
A 3pod tripod, a XQD card reader and a 18-140 lens.

Nikon is releasing a new 64gb XQD memory card to compete with Sony. I would suspect some other company is producing them for Nikon? Just like Nikon batteries.
A 50-sheet pack of Canon Premium Pro Luster paper and a yellow ink cartridge for my Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer. Whoopee!

Nothing for myself.
Preferred to give to young aspiring photographers and purchased a couple of lenses and a DSLR for them.
Made them very happy.
Paid a deposit on a trip to Morocco, where I hope to get some great photos. Going in March. Tour is two weeks, and I'm adding a few days on either end on my own. Any advice appreciated.

Not really a treat, but a new tool. The Sony a6600, came at $200.00 off and a $160.00 camera bag and Sony memory card. Took it out yesterday hours after I got it, attached it to the Sony 200-600, went out from under a shelter after a big rain storm and found this Coopers Hawk that was soaked and got this shot. New tools are cool.
So I bought a Pana 45-175 PZ (internal zoom and focus) for my Pana GX8 and a book with the life and photos of Edward Curtis. Gave them to my wife to wrap for my Christmas presents from her and Daisy dog.
Daisy got doggy choc and Maureen got a pendant from me and a brooch from Daisy. I cooked the turkey - in our combi micro! Best we've had!
