One of my favorites!! Thanks for sharing!!
Dodie
Listen sometime to Victor Borge playing Clair de Lune, he was a master pianist. Tiffany Poon is a young Chinese pianist that also plays this piece beautifully.
Although Debussy was the original composer I do not like the way he speeds up the playing of this beautiful piece but that is me.
Nice. That was my wife's favorite piece of music.
Years ago a friend who was completely uninformed about music was in the audience at his daughters' piano recital. Before his girls time his wife leaned over and asked, "Isn't that Claire de Lune?" He said nothing but was shifting and squirming in his seat trying to get enough light to read the program. When he replied, "No, it's Karen Johnson" she started laughing so hard she had to leave the auditorium. The kids quit piano lessons a few weeks later.

Thank you for sharing that nice little musical break. It really is a classic loved by many.
It was intetesting to hear the composer playing it himself, which I have never heard before. It is interesting how he plays it much faster then you hear it nowadays. It reminded me of how my grandmother used to play. She would have played it at the same speed he did. She was self-taught and played by ear. She played piano in silent movies and could just keep going and going and going. It was nice to be reminded of her playing.
Thank you.
