How do you post photos from i phone to i mac?
Photos taken on my iPhone and stored in the Photos App synch with the Photos App on my iPad. With iOS 13.x you can connect a device via a cable and "see" contents and copy them via Finder.
Does either of these work?
If you choose to take advantage of the Adobe ecosystem software, once set up, the images on a phone will be on the computer all the time. The images can be on your iPad or in any browser as well.
Connect your iPhone to your iMac via the connecting cable used to charge your mouse and keyboard. When asked to import from a source, select iPhone. With Lightroom, that’s all there is to it. If you don’t have that kind of charging cable, anyone that fits your phone on one end and a USB socket on the other end will work the same way. No extra programs are necessary. I do this all the time.

I use my iCloud account for storage. Photos taken on my iPhone automatically post to iCloud and can be viewed on any of my Apple devices.

That's how it works for me also. All photos taken on iPhone automagically are available on my Macbook and iPad once you are connected on the same Wifi.

I use the airdrop feature on the iPhone and Mac. Works with iPhone to anybodies iPhone also. Great if you only want to transfer a few photos.

By far the easiest way is to use Air Drop.
i have not idea. But i suspect the same way you "post" from any phone to any computer - read the instructions.

Well that was helpful (sarcasm).
But I appreciate your post as many of us have replied with "use XXXX" without details of exactly how to do that.

Details for AirDrop:
Have your iPhone and iMac close to each other, turned on and unlocked.
Pick a photo on iPhone.
Click the "share" icon (at lower left of your screen, small square box with up arrow).
Click the AirDrop icon.
Select your iMac as the destination.
Your iMac may ask permission to accept the photo.
Voila!

It is slightly different depending on the device you are using. But the basic flow is:
(1) Go to Photos and select the images you want to transfer.
(2) Click the symbol to transfer images. On the iPhone it is a square with an arrow pointing up.
(3) go to your Mac and open a folder, select GO -> Airdrop.
(4) A plethora of transfer choices will appear on the phone. Chose the Air-Drop device and click it.
IF the air drop device (your computer) does not appear, have patience, wait a bit. If it doesn't appear after a wait, then go to your Mac and Finder and select GO -> Airdrop.
I tried the Air Drop method and it worked. Thank you. Thank you for not being sarcastic!
