SOME Sony alphas have two slots.

The new a99 has two slots and can write to both at the same time, write to one until it fills then write to the other, write jpg to one and raw to the other, write movies to one and stills to the other, and a couple other options I forget right now.

Of course, you can always save your RAW, JPEG or RAW+JPEG files to just one card.

Are you sure this is correct? I think you can save raw to one and Jpeg to the other. According to my manual you can.

Because of the recent discussions of saving raw images to one card, and JPGs to a second card, which cameras are capable of doing this?

Judging by all the answers you got, maybe you should have asked if any DSLRs save to only one card. :D

Where is your "<Bazinga!>"?

I suspect that "two slots" does not always mean ability to save raw to one and JPG to the other, as stipulated in original question.
Enthusiasm sometimes overshadows accuracy of answer.

No not the D300 Series. Just the D300s and yes, you can save NEF files to one card and jpeg to the other, tho I find it more convenient just to use the second card for overflow.

Obviously, it's not necessary. :D

I'll have to admit, the manual and menu choices are not very clear about this (unless I'm not looking at the right page ). But, I played with my MkIII just now, and, sure enough, you're absolutely correct! It can store a RAW file to the CF card and a JPEG file to the SD card.

Thanks for the info. I've had my MkIII for a couple months and still learning all it can do. Of course, it helps to have a forum like this to learn faster.

Sad but true, that statement applies to just about every piece of electronics you buy today. If only they could hire maybe two people to write and edit their manuals. That could be a huge selling point.

Most (if not all) Olympus DSLRs will accomodate 2 cards.

All the C and E series bodies and quite a few more types of Oly's. Most E series pro models will accept three. CF, XD, and Microdrive. I found out my friend can hook up to a external drive with the E-30 and E-3 but I haven't checked out his setup. This may have something to do with the microdrive as I haven't tried that type yet eather.

<Bazinga!>

Sometimes responding is more important than reading the fine manual (RTFM)

I'm guilty too.

I have a Sony A850 full frame DSLR and it has two cards, one large and one small. I have only used one of them.

Not only can you record separate images to different cards you can also set the jpeg image only to transfer to a laptop when shooting tetherd.
You can have it copy to a laptop or copy and remove the JPEG. You need to use the canon utilities provided with your camera to do this. Unless they have finally updated Lightroom adobe has not incorporated tethered support for LR.
(as of a month ago).
You can also use a Eyefi card in the SD slot to,transfer only the JPEG image to a iPad. I have tested each scenario personally. The eyefi card tends to disconnect on a timeout from the camera periodically.
I would choose small jpeg to transfer to iPad.

Be sure and set rec separately to allow separate recording to different cards.
See page 116 of the 5d mkiii manual.

One other note: the eyefi card shows up in the canon menu as EYEFI-settings!
Be sure and enable transfer from your canon menu if you want to see the picture appear on your IPAD.
