One of our own has passed..
You'll be greatly missed, Bill. A class act who shared his joy of photography and his time, by creating videos to help others learn post-processing.
Oh, no! I have been absent on here for a while and when I got back on a couple weeks ago I was looking for his daily posts and wondered why he wasn't posting. This makes me so sad. I have only been on this site for a year or so off and on but he was always so kind and encouraging. RIP.

UHH regular, Snap Shot (Bill), has been missing since mid-September. I was able to contact someone at a camera club where he was an active member. They said he had missed their October meeting and they promised to do some detective work to see if he was OK.
Finally, yesterday I received this message:
"I've confirmed with the sheriff that Bill passed away about six weeks ago. Could you please let his friends know. Sorry - I don't have any other info. I know he was going to Merced for more medical tests the day after the Sept meeting. I suspect he entered the hospital and never left."
My condolences to you."
I enjoyed Bill's always cheerful work and his willingness to help in any way he could. He did some wonderful tutorials. But even more important, he was a friend and he will be missed!
Bill joined UHH in June, 2012. He was a very active member. During his years here he created 2,040 new topics and contributed 39,800 comments to his fellow photographer's. I'll attach a link to his work on UHH below for those who are not familiar with it or that want to see it again.

I know we all like our privacy but it would be nice to know a little more about someone that gave us fresh cut flowers almost every day. I know he gave us joy with his photos, he will be missed. He always seemed so gratuitous about our comments this is what I will remember most.

Seemed like a really good guy. I'm sure he'll be missed by all.

I'll miss him. It's sad to lose a fine member like him.
While I didn't really know him, I am sure he was just like many of us here who enjoyed photography and strived to do better while helping others to do the same. Sad news. RIP !
RIP Bill, you will be sorely missed.
Thanks, I always liked his flowers, esp the processing and final look.
My first digital camera took great close ups of flowers and I
tried to get images like he put up.
Bill's Flower Photography was Outstanding !!! I remember asking him if he used a Tilt/Shift Lens, always tack sharp focus his Photographs were Fine Art....He liked to have us choose our favorite out of four or five shots of Flowers,,,and if I remember correctly he was a Combat Wounded Veteran....
Sad news, I enjoyed Bill's work, his talent and his willingness to share his methods via tutorials. I for one already miss him. He was rightfully proud of the work he shared. I miss a lot of folks that have disappeared for various reasons over they years from UHH. Seems like I hardly know anyone here these days. RIP Bill...
