Warbler that crashed into my front door.

This little guy was hopping around in our yard with its mate for over an hour while I was trying to get a decent picture of them together. I finally gave up & sat down to watch TV. Several minutes later I heard a noise at the front door & when I opened the door one of the little birds that I was unsuccessful in photographing lay on my front porch. He sat on my finger for sever minutes before flying off to join his mate. My wife took the pictures with her IPAD.
Sweet and glad the little one was a survivor!

It's always special to have a touch moment with them.

It’s a good thing to care for the little birds, and animals.
That's pretty cool the way he got his feet wrapped around your two fingers.
Glad it wasn't hurt and you have some moments that you will be smiling about for a while. I wonder why they do that. I have had them fly into our window somewhat regularly during the summers. And I will let you in on something not a secret, but also not commented on. I am not known for keeping the window squeeky clean.

I’ve been told they see trees in the reflection & think they are flying towards one. Who knows. We have decals on most of our windows & they have helped immensely. Way less bird strikes.

I’m a big songbird fan. Have half dozen feeders around the yard. Still feeding hummingbirds too. Making up for my youth (BB gun). FYI I’m originally from the PGH area (Monaca).
Certainly better than 2 in the bush!

I wish I could identify him for you. But their colors are different this time of year.
