Why is UHH off limits to me?

Perhaps this is in the wrong section, but I figured more of you would notice it here than in General Chitchat. For a couple of weeks now, Windows 10 will not allow me to open anything pertaining to UHH, either the daily forum or topic replies. So even though it's a favorite part of my day to see what other people are posting, I've pretty much stopped trying, since I have to do a search for it. I can open most other, though not all other, emails, just not this one. Has anyone else had this trouble, and, more importantly, can someone tell me how to get around it? It's as if I'm being told, No, you can't have a creative outlet. Not fair!

I don’t recall exactly what precipitated it, but I recall that at one time some members were being temporarily suspended by accidently or in some cases purposely responding to something or another that was viewed as negative. I believe the suspension lasted approximately 30 days. They may have had to contact admin to be reinstated. Sorry to be so vague but I just don’t recall the details.

Are you talking about the UHH emails you can get with links to the daily digest? I used to subscribe to those. At one time they stopped coming. I contacted UHH Admin and was told that one of the emails had gone to my spam folder. So they "blacklisted" me and stopped sending them. Eventually we worked it out. I suggest you contact Admin (send a Private Message). Hopefully they can fix it.

Edit: What CHG_CANON suggested works; it's what I do now (I got tired of getting the daily emails!)

Not fair SWFeral, we always enjoy your posts and photos, especially of Ted. We just adopted a senior (around 7 + or - year old) red cattle dog mix. Hope you get this mess sorted out soon. Best, chase

It's not a win 10 problem.
This being written on a win 10 computer.
What usually happens is some ad-blocker, web browser safety setting that is preventing you
from viewing a web page.
This happens to often and can be frustrating to track it down.
Try turning off of nannies one at a time until you find the one blocking you.

I appreciate your responses. I probably have responded to negative stuff when it appalls me, but who hasn't? Afterwards I always feel petty. I don't postt negative stuff myself, not intentionally, but these days who knows. And thanks, chase4, for your moral support. Enjoy your new friend. Ted sends his (questionable) best.

You need to contact your e-mail provider's technical support. All "link highlighting" in e-mail happens on the receiving end. If they aren't enabling UHH links, it's probably because of some kind of filter/block/etc., which is managed by your e-mail provider. You need to let them know that you expect UHH e-mail. This is not something I can change from my end.

Thank you. I'll check into this.

Try the ideas here too, if they should apply to your situation (using Outlook, etc). https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/310049/hyperlinks-are-not-working-in-outlook

I know chrome has a blocked content list deep in the settings which you can manage to allow blocked sites.. other browsers have this also I'm sure. I'd try switching browsers, clearing cookies, and checking your antivirus software settings.

I had that problem with my email provider once. They had "whitelisted" my address due to somebody who reported me as spaming them. It took weeks to get them to fix it. A "whitelist" is a data set of addresses that are blocked for some reason. Good luck, hope this helps.

When a UHH email goes into spam, accidentally or not, you are tossed for ten days. That happens to me a lot. As soon as ten days are up, just ask to be reinstated. I have two addresses registered, so it’s not that big of a deal. That might be your problem, though even when “in jail” you still should be able to log in.

This is the situation I was thinking of in my reply above.
