I’ve had this type of problem before using a wireless connection. Go to a “wired” connection with the cable and you should be just fine.
Also, I’m betting it happens more often on the bigger file sizes. Sometimes, your printer can run out of internal memory and will get “overwhelmed”.
Good luck!
Yes about the file size. It was always 8 x 10 until last night when I tried a 5 x 7 and it also happened. I don’t think it’s ever the first print either so memory may not have cleared yet on subsequent prints. Thanks for the input!

I was just pondering again regarding printer memory. Does using the cable negate the use of internal printer memory?
I just had a similar problem setting up my new pro 4000 a 12 color 44 inch printer , they set it up using wi-fi printing it was to slow for me , 5 minutes to send a 200mb file . I found out Canon uses 2.4 G instead of 5G , in their set up I solved my problem by going to ethernet cat 6 cables direct to printer and computer....its real fast now .. Stoping during printing could be a weak router or interference , I was told by my Canon tech help that wi-fi cable is faster than wi-fi at this time , also that USB transfer can cause color fluctuations from line voltage fluctuations or disturbances down line...this printer has hot swappable ink tanks for ink changing during printing and a way of checking if lines of ink stop printing and backs up and fills it in ...pretty amazing...

Those look like complex print jobs. You could have an overheating print head but I would suspect the wireless connection. As data is transmitted each group is checked and resent if errors. That would show up at different places in the job. Try a cable connection first. Also clean the print head.

my printer stops printing in the middle of a photo print. It's very frustrating, time consuming and it wasting a lot of ink and paper. Additional info
Epson workforce 845
Epson inks and paper
paper type set correctly in printer properties and ink not low
stops in random places
has happened using Cox, Comcast, and Verizon internet providers
printing wirelessly; don't have cable for wired printing and work space cant accommodate it
Have talked to Epson. All they do is have me uninstall/reinstall drivers, which are current
Happens from various software, LR CC and On1
happens on 8 x 10 as well as 5 x 7
does not happen when printing word documents even if they have images
has happened on both my laptop and my desktop
sometimes I have just let the printer sit and it will eventually complete printing. recently it has been ejecting the unfinished print
sometimes get "connection error" in print queue status. This current time it just shows error printing. I have to delete the image from the print queue. I don't submit other prints until the current one is finished.
it happens randomly. this morning and last night I successfully printed an entire 8 x 10, the next two stopped
I have extensively googled and researched and not found any answers.
I have to get these images printed and prefer to do them at home. That's why I have a printer.

Deeply appreciative of any suggestions. I don't know if it is a buffer or spooler problem as I am not that knowledgeable about those though I have read about temp file being filled. I checked mine last night, it was empty after printing.
Thanks,
Kathy

Mine did that, too, and once I put it on a cable there was no problem. I am not aware of any other work-a-round. My belief is that the internet connection got dropped because printing took a few minutes.

Restart your wireless hub. Your printer should have enough buffer space for one picture.
Also, if your hub is sitting on the floor elevate it somehow a foot or two.
Amen. Don't ever try to print anything directly from a "cloud." No matter how fast your IP, it can't match response speed directly from your computer.

The file is on my hard drive. I usually print from LR so I can size the file the way I need it. So I’m not sure where I would be down loading it from.
You sound confused.
Where are the files that you are printing? There are only two possibilities....they are online somewhere, or they are on your computer (meaning, they exist on the computer's hard drive (internal, USB, flash drive etc.). You seem to not understand what "download to your computer" means. It means moving or copying it from where it is onto your computer, so you are then not handling a file that is out in the world somewhere else.
A file that is out on the Internet, or somewhere else on your local network, possibly is not moving fast enough through your computer to the printer to keep the printer buffer filled, resulting in the printer running out of information.

I hope the next time you call Canon, you get a more knowledgeable tech. The signal being transmitted over USB is digital and has zero to do with line voltage fluctuations, and what exactly is Wi_Fi cable? (an oxymoron).
There is a problem with Windows 10 1903 update that matches your symptoms.
Try rebooting your modem/router by pulling the power cord for about thirty seconds. Plug it back in and allow it to restabilize before trying another print.

Wow! Looks like something interrupts the data flow from computer to printer. If you open the printer queue window, do you see a print progress bar?
How many pixels (W by H) are in the files?
Also, how far are printer and computer from the wireless router? Is anything blocking the radio path, like walls, floors, etc.?
Are you using windows or mac? This happens to me occasionally using MacOs and printing wirelessly.
You have already updated your printer drivers.
Try uninstalling your printer, then reinstalling it.
Reboot your wireless network, then reconnect your printer to it.
Should fix the issue.
And as others have suggested, try a wired connection.

I'm not sure this is a communication problem. Please note how the print (at least as depicted in your images) seems to fade out before printing stops. I would check for blocked ventilation holes in your printer, or other problems along that line. It is also possible that for some reason the printhead is becoming starved of ink, although if that is the case it is a little bit suspicious that all colors seem to be failing equally. If you try again, check carefully for something that might be overheating. Double-check that your cartridges are seated properly. Do the cartridges ride along with your print head, or do they sit in a stationary location? If stationary, double check that something is not interfering with the flow of ink to the print head. If the cartridges ride with your print head, look for a possible loose connection in the cabling.
When you talk to the tech support people, make sure that they understand that the printing is not just suddenly stopping.
Again...I suspect a physical problem with your printer, not a problem with the network, the data buffer, or your drivers.
