I'm glad you're enjoying the lens. By the way I think you were referring to bokeh, the quality of the out-of-focus areas, not bouquet which is a arranged group of flowers or the complex aromas of a wine.

Sigma lenses DO smell nice though! Especially my Art lens! I keep an arrangement of them on my desk just for that reason - and one in my wine glass!!

Both, the Tamron and Sigma 24-70 lenses have a very good reputation.

Which part went over your head? His suggestion that Sigma lenses have a nice bouquet, or my response to it?

I have no idea what Sigma smells like. I will have to go to the photo store and take sniff of a Sigma lens !!

I hope you're not being serious and realize that the whole thing is a joke because the OP use the word bouquet when he meant bokeh. Bouquet, besides being an arrangement of flowers, is the complex aroma of a good wine. Thus the humorous suggestion that Sigma lenses smell nice. My response to that was that smelling your lenses is a bit weird, alluding to some sort of fetish. It was all in fun.

...I've been thinking to upgrade to the newer Art 24-70...some foot-dragging however, 'cuz I still think my DG HSM EX is fine! Never had a problem with Sigma lenses...YMMV.

Love that Sigma lens...Use it most of the time for portraits and just walking around. It's a bit heavy but lighter than my Tammy 70-200 f2.8 which I use for sporting events, love that lens too. These are 2 of my favorites...
