But Butch was not around. He wasn't at his boyhood home outside Circleville UT, and he wasn't at that place his doppelganger --the one who looks suspiciously like actor Paul Newman-- stayed at down in Grafton UT, in between times when he and Sundance and the boys were robbin' banks or robbin' trains or such. Figured if I could sneak up on him from the tall grass, and catch him (or Sundance [or Etta!]) while he was just chillin', I could get the reward he's got on his head. I mean, how else am I going to afford all those new lenses and camera bodies and things I need to keep up with the Joneses?
Maybe he was back down in Robber's Roost Canyon, or up in Hole in the Wall. Or maybe he was back over in Moab where he sometimes stayed (which would be just my luck, me being out of town and all). I just don't know.
I could live in the house in the second photo.
Maybe he's in the Sundance Jail -a town near Spearfish SD. they had him once-I saw the jail.

Or maybe not; he's already busted out of that hoosegow once before without breaking a sweat. I bet he's down in Bolivia, about to jump off a cliff or something.
Nice set - Probably up in Red Lodge, MT robbing the bank, or running from Sheriff John Dunn, who chased them for 80 miles, caught them and sent them back to to jail in Deadwood. (They escaped again!)

Is that right.... So, you'd be willing to live the outlaw life, eh?
That sneaky, elusive Butch--at least you got a couple of nice photos.
Two awesome photos, Cany.
BTW, Butch, Sundance and their gang spent time hiding out in the Badlands of Southern Saskatchewan. They had quite an elaborate cave set up for their hiding place, and would frequently zip back and forth between Sask and USA. They committed no crimes here though.

When I visited Grafton it was deserted. I guess all the bad guys had been chased out, so you have it to yourself Cany.
I just saw an old interview with Newman where he said he didn't know until the day the filming was to begin whether he would be Butch or Sundance.
Beautiful old home.
Thanks
I have been to where they filmed the cliff jump in Colorado. That was about only 10 feet. The location is on the Animus River, north of Durango about 20 miles. No one jumped as the water is only 2-3 feet deep.
