I found this in the garden, I think it is a Common Green Grasshopper but I know the identification of these is complicated so correction would be welcome.
Good job, Brenda. I enjoy grasshoppers for they make great subjects in the field. I haven't seen one marked quite like yours before so perhaps they are not in this area so thanks for sharing yours.

It has a striking similarity to the northern striped 'hopper that I had recently posted. But they are in different genera.

Yes, I think that is about the right area. I was thinking Common Green Grasshopper - Omocestus viridulus but couldn't be sure. Pretty little thing anyway.
