I agree that the one on the right looks like a ruddy turnstone. Amazing detail, great shot for that kind of distance.

Thank you, Les. I had never heard of a ruddy turnstone so I just Googled it. They are very similar to our stint, but there are differences.

Very nice. However, I don't see the problem with the 200 - 500mm zoom at your specified working distance.

Maybe it was further than I stated, Jeff. I tried the 200-500 first & it would have required far too much cropping. Anyway, I bought the P1000 specifically for these longer shots, so horses for courses. Earl.
