Sad--he looks enough like my dog to be a twin.

I know what you are going through. When I had to put my Glenn Terrier down I felt his spirit leave his body. How can we not love our best buddies. I now have two dogs from the shelter.
I would make a trip to your local shelter and provide a forever home for a dog in as much need as you. It's a win win. Open your home and your heart.

You have my sincere sympathy - been there done that several times. At the risk of being insensitive, and certainly have no idea if we are alike in any way, but the biggest mistake I made after loosing my boy was waiting 5 years to get a new dog friend. At the moment, have 3 of varying ages, Barring some unlikely disaster, I will always come home to dogs. Peace.

MAC was my avatar. I got him from the humane society and he was my best friend and companion for 8 years. Mac developed an aggressive form of bone cancer. I let him go on Aug. 6. I miss him so much.

I'm sorry for your loss. Dogs are such great companions and they love unconditionally. I'm sure you miss him.

Wish there was something to say that would ease the pain of losing a good friend ... but of course there isn't. So I'll just say I'm sorry for your loss.

So sad to hear about this. My dog, Charlotte is getting older, she is losing her hearing and has trouble getting down the stairs now. I know the end is coming, but I'm trying not to think about it.
