I brought along a "light" DX kit - very underwhelmed by the AF S Nikkor 18 - 55 G ED on the D 7200 - soon to be gone. Possibly a gift to one of the kids who have older versions. Guess I'm just spoiled by better lenses. A few shots of the rural West anyway. The last with my faithful AF Nikkor 75-300 4.5 5.6.
Considering the Nikon 18-140 as a replacement for the pair of kit lenses - input?

I like this series, especially the first and the last.

I replaced the two kit lens that came with my D7200 with
the 18-300. Maybe not the best, but it works for me.

Thank You - I was sort of bummed by the series - these about 1/3 of the shots.

A really nice set of B&W images. The horse photo is also well done.

Thanks - I'll give it a look. Haven't been all that pleased with the FX 28-300 but your suggestion could be just what I need.

I should add that the D7200 now sports an older 28-200.
the 18-300 has moved to a D500,

I like the horse photo, but not a fan of B&W. I got the 18 -140 as a kit lens with my D7100. Best kit lens I have ever used. They will have to pry it from my cold dead hands. :-}

I've not been a fan of B&W but this set has turned my taste 180º. I love these shots. Wonderful scenes, perfect lighting and horizons that are dead on. Looks like a place I'd love to see. Fine job.

Thank you for the input on the lens - was researching it this morning - your opinion in the great majority.

In re: Monochrome - part of me still stuck in film days - I shot an awful lot of Tri X. Horses, like our dog & cat friends just resonate with a lot of us.

Thank you! I will freely confess I often have to adjust horizons - no pun intended - I usually do tilt to the right.
