Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
Oh, I enjoyed them alright. I have visited those places many times. Buffalo and elk and prairie dogs have often been in my viewfinder. And my ancestors were farmers and had many kinds of animals. But I probably will never get close to those places nor those animals again. So your photos bring me joy. Thanks so much.
That elk looks like he may have gotten trapped when scraping the velvet off his antlers.
Just after the picture he got up and moved on. Glad he was okay.

Great series. Thanks for posting.
I see you found some summer cows. Saw quite a few when we were out there.
Summer cows, you ask? Summer white, summer red, summer black, etc.

Beautiful shots, was there last October.
I was on the viewing area at Mt Rushmore, trying to focus tight on Teddy Roosevelt's glasses, when I hear someone next to me whine, "but it doesn't DO anything." There's no pleasing some people.
Did you get to Crazy Horse?
Unfortunately not. Limited time to get to the Tetons where our daughter is doing a year of graduate work. Next time hopefully.
I took that trip a couple years ago--these bring back nice memories.
