The catalog does not contain any images other than previews. Your images will be where you originally stored them and told LR where to find them. When you open LR you will be able to search for your images in the Library tab. Look on the left side for all the folders that have been cataloged. Hope this helps.

Can you describe in better detail, what exactly you are trying to do?

Lightroom doesn't have your images. It's a database that only has a preview of your images, and any edits/changes to those images, and their location on your drive(s). At any time you can view an image and right click on it, and the flyout menu that opens up will have "View in Windows Explorer (or Finder if on a Mac)" and clicking on that option will show you the actual file. Or if you are trying to make a jpeg/tiff/png/psd raster image, you can export the file. That option is also on the flyout menu.

You read the online help manual by Adobe. In particular, any section having to do with the Library Module. You find this manual with the program open, go to the top, marked Help or go directly to the Adobe web site and find it there. You might also consider reading a book on the application so that you know how to use it.
