What update?

Major ones come out on Tuesday.

Security, malware, virus updates for security are released when needed and if the bad guys or their mutating code are active then windows is active also.
Do you have update set to also update other Microsoft products such as Office etc? Their updates/patches don't usually follow any particular schedule. Example - someone finds a vulnerability in Office Outlook - they patch it ASAP and push the patch/update out. They don't wait for "Update Tuesday" or the First, or Fifteenth or the department's Grandmother's birthday or what ever. If they find three problems on three days in a row then they do patches and issue them ASAP.

In addition many updates will not be installed until pre-requisites are met, usually some other update. So if you did not update something when it came out then when you do the ones that needed that one as a pre=req will get pushed.

You can go to security and update and keep doing manual searches and updates you will catch up.

Seperate thing.

Do you have an Android cell phone? Mine is a Samsung, has a bunch of Google stuff on it (most came with it and I don't use them and wish I could get rid of them, some you can't) and is with Verizon. I can't remember the last time a day went by without something, update, security patch etc etc. coming from one or more of them - Android, Samsung, Google, Verizon or other companies whose apps are on my phone somewhere.
All I wanted was a phone!?!?!?!?!

Hmmmm, I usually get mine on Tuesdays, but most times it runs over into Wed and continues for a long time before finishing.
This may be unrelated but has anyone else failed to get UHH on your emails? I have not received it in 3 days now.

I could use help from an Android expert, if one is reading... I am getting alerts saying that my phone is running out of storage space. Thing is, I have a 64GB card in there which is almost empty! I cannot find a way to get things to load or move to the card... A few apps have a setting which lets you do that, but most do not...

I also just wanted a phone, although the camera can be useful in case of an accident or something. I have never, and never will, try to watch movies, or listen to music on my phone. The system complains a lot if you try to remove the built-in apps for this stuff...

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread...

I have a Sumsung Galaxy S8 Android cell phone. The first question to answer is “Do you have a SD memory card installed in your phone? If the answer is no, your storage space is limited to the amount of memory installed in your phone. If the answer is yes, you have the option of moving installed applications from your internal phone memory to an installed SD card memory. Not all applications allow their movement from internal memory to SD card memory.

Open Settings on your phone. Scroll down and open Apps. This will list all the applications on your phone. Tap an app to display the information about that app. One of the selections is Storage. Tap on storage. If the application can be moved from internal storage to an SD card it will show “Storage used: internal storage and a button labeled “Change”. Tap “Change” and the screen will show “Change storage location with Internal storage selected. Tap SD card. The export screen will display. Tap “Move.” Once the transfer is completed, the screen will again display a listing of your installed applications. This same process can used to move an application from SD card storage to internal storage. Remember, may applications do not allow SD card storage.

Thanks for the clarification. That is what I have suspected when I took the time to think about it.
