Nope. But do be cautious about hijack or ransom malware. Those may claim you must do this or that. Do you have a working anti-virus / anti-malware program running?

Thanks to all. I do have an anti-malware program running and it's "Webroot and it does warn me. Do to the way that I have been bothered , a lot lately, is I can't just click on the "X" because it's covered up and I have to shut down all programs to get to it. It's just a pain in my a**. They just don't give up. I'm thinking of trying "Malwarebytes" and see if it works any better. Thanks again.

Malware (for the most part) resides on the PC itself and is used to deliver whatever effect the designer intended.

Clearing browser history and cookies is a great practice to get into, but unfortunately is not very effective if the software has already been dropped on the system, as some root kits will just check to see if the browser cache has been cleared, and make changes when needed. Safe web surfing practices, staying up-to-date on all software security patches, are key to preventing it.

Thanks, I try to and haven't ever taken the bait, so far so good.
