Is this a safe site?

Invariably when I access this site I get an orange warning in the upper left-hand corner that says it from Windows saying several things. First is that my subscription to McAfee has expired and after I clear that I get another that says that my files are corrupt. Most of the time as I am signing out of the UHH I get a full page warning from Webroot saying that this is not a safe site. Is anyone else having any similar problems with this site?

I haven't had any "alarms" go off with UHH but, the web address does not have an "s", as in https, denoting a safe site. Other folks may chime in and give you a more definitive answer.

It does when I log in.

I got the McAfee thing a couple of weeks ago, but I don't recall if I was on the hog at the time. I just shut the browser down and rebooted the computer.

I'm not familiar with webroot. But it could be that this site was somehow flagged in their database. To what extent, and why, that's for Webroot to answer.

EDIT: If you have trouble sleeping, here is an explanation of how their system works:

Go to your browser history and clear it , clear all cookies, and surfing history. Often times when you click on a site after searching you wind up with a little malware that hides in the browser history. I get these from time to time that are supposedly from Microsoft or some antivirus program, they are phishing expeditions, ignore them. The only warnings I heed are those from Windows Defender.

I've never had any alerts, alarms or problems.

This site is very safe. I have used Webroot for about 20 years or so and have never had a problem with them. Never had a virus. On my computer, it has never given any warning about this site.

Nope. But do be cautious about hijack or ransom malware. Those may claim you must do this or that. Do you have a working anti-virus / anti-malware program running?

Malware (for the most part) resides on the PC itself and is used to deliver whatever effect the designer intended.

Clearing browser history and cookies is a great practice to get into, but unfortunately is not very effective if the software has already been dropped on the system, as some root kits will just check to see if the browser cache has been cleared, and make changes when needed. Safe web surfing practices, staying up-to-date on all software security patches, are key to preventing it.
