Used Gear

KEH is one of the most popular and reliable sellers of used gear.
However, MPB is worth checking out. They now offer a 6 month warranty.
Example for Fuji users:
Fuji 18-55mm-$294 for excellent rated lens vs $379-$418 at MPB.
I have purchased from them and gear was "as represented".

Yes, I have found that mpb.com has better prices and offer more for what you want to sell to them.
I have bought and sold with them with no problems. And you can actually talk to a live person there if you have any questions or concerns. Their customer service people are are very courteous and knowledgeable.

I've had good luck with KEH in the past ... they stood behind their product, in my case, after their warranty expired. So I count them as a good company. Nice to learn about MPB ... hadn't heard about them. I recently decided to purchase a used 800mm prime Canon L lens. I've been shopping all over & finally just bought one from a local camera store ... Hunts ... which is a great store & the lens was in excellent shape. When I just looked on MPB, their asking price for that lens was $1,800 more than I paid at Hunts. So I suggest it always pays to shop around.

Have bought and sold several cameras and lenses to MPB in the past year and have found them trustworthy and reliable. Have another lens coming Thursday. Have done business with KEH since the eighties and they are good also.

I have recently purchased from MPB, Nikon 24-70, Tokina 16-28 and a Nikon 300 f2.8. All 3 listed as like new or excellent and they were in amazing condition. Saved a lot of money over what the others were selling the same gear for and at a little worse condition. MPB is my first choice for used gear.

Interesting!! I recently went to KEH Online App for the Sale of Gear and found that they have now restricted severely what they will buy. (I relied on them for many years for sale of and purchase of used gear and what they sell is usually better than the rating they assign)
Anyway, I then went to MPB and with one exception (Metz), they accepted about 15 pieces. And, unfortunately again, they don't deal with Panasonic as I wanted to trade all for a PanyDMC 2500FZ --

My experience was just the opposite, I had several Nikon AIS manual focus lenses that MPB wouldn't buy but KEH did and paid a fair price.
