At the races....
Shot with Canon EOS M5 and 55-200 lens
Love the last portrait....wonderful jockey & horse
Maybe it's my screen but they appear to be a little on the dark side, just a little.
Nice shots. Question? How do you shoot dark animals moving on a light background and get definition on the animals? the dark tends to eliminate detail like overwhelming the sensor almost. I have had trouble doing this with nikon d4 shooting dog shows of borzoi when the dog is very dark in color in a well lit setting. I have to shoot indoors without flash which runs the iso way up for 1/2000th shutter speed and then the camera sets the iris to as far open as it needs. The iso can go on the full frame up over 5,000 but on a full frame that is not a bad thing. The huge contrast of dark bodies is what does it. Your photo #2 shows the same issue for the same reason but outdoors. Anyone have any ideas or techniques?
Thanks. I enjoyed the shots of the racing.

I set my ISO at 160 and used a very fast shutter speed between 1/1600 and 1/2000.
I am not a professional, so for me, these photos were really good!
