What is a good reasonably priced walk around zoom lens for a D750? I do mostly street photography with some landscape.

Its REALLY hard to beat the Nikon 24-120mm F4 VR NANO lens that Nikon kits with the D750. Its a great lens for the price, and a true Nikon pro grade gold ring lens.

I find Nikon 24-85 F3.5 4.5 and Nikon 24-120 F4 G ED quite good walk around lenses. The former smaller and lighter, the latter with a bit more reach. When I take one lens, it is usually the 24-120. Each is usually mounted on one of my cameras.

rosjan, I would suggest you consider the Nikon 24-120mm F4 VR NANO lens.
Check it out at a local camera store for weight and balance considerations for your style.

Another vote for the Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR

What do you consider to be good and reasonable? My "utility" lens on both Canon and Nikon bodies is a 28-300 zoom that costs around $800 for the Nikkor and around $2400 for the Canon. Tamron may have something less expensive but if it's not a Tamron SP series lens, I wouldn't buy one. As for Sigma, a Sport or Art series lens is the way to go.

I certainly agree with this choice. I have a Nikon 16-80mm for DX and a Panasonic 12-60mm lens for m4/3. The length is equivalent 24-120mm for FF. I use these lenses by far the most for travel.

Depending on how wide you want to go for landscapes, you might check out the new Tamron 35-150 f/2.8-4. It's a very nice lens. Beautifully sharp. I wouldn't shoot sports with it, but it's good for street photography and if you don't need really wide angle for landscapes, it'll do fine. I bring this and a 20mm f/1.8 with me on trips and I feel like I have everything covered unless a bike race or soccer game breaks out. That said, the 24-120 is also a really nice lens for everyday use.

I second the suggestion of the Nikkor 24-120 mm f4. I recently bought a very nice used copy of this lens for $425, which seems to be about average for nice, recent versions. Mine came from my local camera shop and seems to be a great value against the approximately $1000 price of a new one. My intention is to have it as an alternative to my 17-55 mm f2.8 on my D500, even though it is a full frame lens, but I used it for about a month with great results on my D850 while the D500 was in for repair.

What MT said, I don't speak Nikon but he is an experienced dealer and photographer.

I have a Canon 24-105L f/4 I have used at car shows, Civil War re-enactments and Steam Punk events and gone all day with only an occasional use of my 14 mm f/2.8 when indoors or a bit longer lens during the battle re-enactments. It is not polite, allowed or safe to try for a close front view of a 12 pound Napoleon cannon even if it is loaded with blanks.

My "walk around" lens is the 70-200/2.8, but everybody got their own favorite.
