Armed good guy takes down armed bad guy, no shots fired.
Who is going to engage a guy with a ar15 shooting with a short barrel handgun from any distance, thats not realistic,
You guys on the left keep poo-pooing the idea of a legal gun owner stopping criminals. You seem to find joy in exposing this latest Russian guy in a Wal-Mart as a "social experiment." You are just hoping that this kind of thing is not true. But there are many real cases of legal gun owners stopping horrific crimes, if not mass murders. Just some recent ones.
April 18, 2015 - An Uber driver in Chicago shot and stopped a gunman who had opened fire on a crowd of people in Logan Square.
March, 2015 - A legal gun owner walking down the street heard shots fired in a barber shop in West Philadelphia and ran in, killing the gunman and saving the lives of all the people in the shop who the gunman was attempting to kill.
September 10, 2012 - An ejected bar patron returned to a bar in Plymouth Pennsylvania to exact revenge. He came in shooting, killing one and critically injuring another before being killed by a another bar patron carrying his legal gun.
March, 2012 - A man brings a shotgun to the Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg South Carolina during a Sunday service, and attempts to kick in the door. An alert patron with concealed carry permit sneaks up from behind and gets the drop on the would-be killer and disarms him.
May, 2008 - A gunman armed with a high-capacity semi-automatic hand gun began firing on a crowd of 300 people in a bar in Winnemucca Nevada, killing two and injuring two more before a concealed carry holder gunned-down the killer.
Every one of these cases could have easily been national news as the "latest" mass shooting and caused politicians to call for more gun control and a great wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth. But they were all stopped by citizens with legal concealed carry permits. This is just a minor list of cases you've never heard of.
In my own neighborhood in Cleveland, Ohio, just two years ago two armed and masked gunmen stormed into a Taco Bell at two o'clock in the morning. They grabbed three employees who they immediately tied up and put on the ground. They then went to the cash register to empty it. Unbeknownst to them, there were three other employees taking cover in the back of the kitchen who all had concealed carry permits and weapons. When the intruders moved sufficiently away from the tied-up victims, the other employees simultaneously opened with a hail of gunfire killing one on the spot and sending the other one running for his life down the street, dripping a trail of blood.

No Big, This is how it's supposed to work but mostly those good guys with a gun run like the cowards they are. Where were they in all the other shootings? You want to tell me, no one with a gun was in El Paso?
WOW!!! What an assumption you make. You don’t want people to be armed then whine and bitch when someone isn’t there. Perhaps you should call the police to see why they weren’t there.
Nice Frank, trying to have your cake and eat it too.

So your cure to gun problems is to introduce more guns. I think you watched one too many cowboy movies. Cannot be denied, if original bad guy did not have a gun, it would not matter if citizens had guns or not.

It certainly stops you from committing crimes

Then how do you propose getting the guns away from the bad guys?? Europe has strict gun control laws, yet they have roughly the same rate of mass killings as we do.

The murder rate began its decline as CCW became common.

What you said is not true. When you can give true facts, you might be worth reading. Until then, quit while you are behind.

So if it goes down with concealment just think how far down it will go with banning.

It won’t.
It went down because now when you try to rob and murder granny she just might introduce you to eternity.
I guess my post should have been addressed to you as well.

Saying it that way means you care.
Most lives saved with a gun aren’t reported if no shots are fired. But its more than are killed in mass shootings.
Its easy to say others are cowards when you’ve never done anything.
Whether those with firearms who ran are cowards is for someone else to judge. I'm not labeling them. I am declaring that they prove that a "good guy with a gun" can't be relied on.
