My All-in-One Epson printer came with OCR software that works quite well if the font on the document is not too fancy.

How do I convert this from photo to document?

Just use copy machines in some stores, or buy yourself a copier (is probably just around 40 bucks or so)!

CHG_CANON had it right in the first response -- keeping it simple.

1) Open a new document in your word processor.
2) "Insert" the photo into the document and resize as desired. (In Word select the "Insert" Tab then "Pictures" to find the photo you just took on your computer and click the "Insert" key.
3) Save the file as a document or optionally export as a PDF.

Have you tried "copy" from file and "paste" into Word document?

David has the likeliest and easiest solution.

Open the photo, select “all”, “copy”, then open a blank word doc and “paste” to the doc, then “save” the newly created doc with imbedded photo. Viola - fini.

I believe he wants to be able to edit the text, not imbed a picture of it.

Bill, the OP makes no ref to being able to edit the photo in the Word doc. Perhaps the OP could weigh in here and make clear what he is attempting to do.

I was rushed to make copies today for my tenant to sign.

if YOU HAVE A PRINTER,
INSERT YOUR SAVED FILE ON YOUR COMPUTER. You must have saved the file and name it.

GO TO WORD MENU AND INSERT THE SAVED FILE TO PRINT IT

Unless you want an editable copy, just create a document in Word, click insert. Click on Pictures and navigate to the file you want, click on the file then on Insert. It places the picture right in Word. It is just like any other object in Word.

I use this online program all the time, it converts everything I have ever needed
https://www.online-convert.com

I also take pictures of documents because I don't have a printer scanner, but I use my cell phone camera with a program from the play store called " simple scanner", my boss has an Iphone and she has a free scanner program for it also. Once scanned you can save it as a PDF and sent it to your email and if you need to edit it just drop the file into the online converting program.
