As part of a recent 7/8-7/25 trip through Alaska I spent 5 nights camped at Brooks Lodge. Some great opportunities were presented.
I felt a little melancholy over the last frame here as this would most likely be the last Summer these two would spend together. The Mother would likely prepare to enter estrus the next year by breaking up the family unit. Katmai is a very productive area so a single cub birth would be unusual and apparently she has lost any other offspring over the prior 16 months.

Outstanding shots. None of them seem to be aware of your presence which adds a relaxed and natural feel to the shots. Well done!
