Hit 105° F yesterday afternoon - fortunately it rained late. Supposed to heat up pretty much the same today, so out early to work with the new to me D 810. Yesterday tried a couple of zooms, was not terribly impressed - on the advice of a friend to "try your sharpest lens" these with AF Micro Nikkor 105 2.8 D. The camera appears likely to exceed my expectations.
Well done. Enjoy your D810.
All good, sharp shots. A little subject motion blur in frame #4 adds interest to me. I like it best.
Thanks! Am ambivalent about blur, but with bees & these types, it is hard to avoid. I've shot as high as 1/3200 and still got it.

Good ones, QD.
Thanks! Beat the "book / user guide" and changed some camera settings, took some afternoon shots. Have had a lot of fine cameras in my life, but the potential on this one is amazing.
Sharp little fellers--good work!
Congratulations on the D810 and on your great photos. Well done.
