We are under severe thunderstorm watch so I am starting the weekend thread early. Remember - it's OK to "Post and Run". It's summer and you needn't comment nor feel obligated to do so. Go out and shoot, eat, have summer fun, catch a few roadtrips. Thanks, Bob for hosting last week. Lots of wonderful close-ups. Starting our weekend with storms, a grandson overnight, fishing tomorrow, and a retirement party sunset cruise tomorrow night. Maybe I'll get some memorable shots. We have a thrasher and family who have regularly frequented our suet this summer. When I cropped him/her I was surprised at how intricately marked this bird is.

Thanks Pat for starting this one off. Nice captures of thrasher there. Here are a couple shot of close up 10x filter that I used. Couldn't believe how thick and heavy it is.

Totally understand. I figured it was a "close up" tool. I used to have a magnifier (not the technical term, but you know what I mean) for one of my other cameras.
