My Dad had a white Corvette, and my brother had a blue one.Gorgeous cars.Thank you for posting this!!
Back in 1978 I had a summer job working on Vetts at the Corvette Clinic, Highland Park, IL. Got to test drive a number of the early models. I loved the style of the second generation.
I was mistaken.Dad's was a 62,and my brother had a split rear window 64,I think. They were always working on them. My Dad started taking cars apart when he was 11. And put them back together, too!! Good times.Good memories.

'63 was the split window and they're fetching a pretty penny.
yes!! I saw Dad's corvette going for about 25k,and the split back was up in the 30's!
I almost bought a ‘63 split window ‘vette back around 1960’s to early ‘70’s. Only one problem. I had none of the $3,000.00 the dealer wanted for it. 327/300hp as I recall. Gorgeous! My Dad was a good guy, but wasn’t ever gonna buy that for me. I never even asked. I almost had him, though, on a 260 Sunbeam Tiger for $2,000.00. Black w/red interior.
Unfortunately (for me), he had overnight to think about it!
Thanks for bringing back some memories. Sweet looking car!

Aaaaahhhh, Corvettes are all really sweet!
I bought a new 2008 coupe when I retired in 2007.
It is now on the Battery Tender until I heal from my knee replacement surgery, sigh.
I can't wait until mid-August when I will be able to run a few tanks of high test through her again.

Although it is a really nice photo, I would rather be the guy behind the wheel than the one behind the camera! Dream car!

Didn't notice the little girl until I "downloaded" the image. Was she hanging on to the passenger door or pp'ed in ?!!
I think the '63 was the most beautiful car ever made. Looks like it could be the Command Module mounted on top
of a Saturn 5 for the next moon mission.
Very good capture, KT, I love Corvettes.
