While Dems insinuate that patriotism is somehow racist, while some city councils eliminate the pledge and Betsy Ross-tennis shoes are pulled off the market by Nike.....we are still loyal patriots here in fly-over Texas with even the harvesters flying our US flag!

I admire you and commend you for your loyalty, Stevey! Very nice shots of the harvesters.
Your subject is well received and your composition is commendable, but your politics are a little over exposed.

Political posts belong in the Attic section.
Thanks.

Would no caption/narration be better/more acceptable?
Or is anything with a flag a no-no.

You are being dishonest and trying to provoke a fight.
There are all sorts of places where you can go to engage in that sort of childish behavior.

No, simply asking a question so I understand better.
I suppose you chose not to answer it and contrive an opinion of me.
That's fine.

You must know that it is not the US flag I objected to, and also that I am not suggesting that there should be no caption whatever. It is the injection of politics into the discussion that breaks the rules here, and those comments belong in the Attic. Implying that over half of the population, due to their political views, are unpatriotic is provocative (and idiotic) even in a political discussion. It has no place here. Take it to the Attic. Pretty simple.
I didn't "contrive an opinion" about you, I simply characterized your post. I said it was dishonest. As far as "contriving an opinion," I objected to the political commentary. You somehow "contrived" that it was captions in general or flags that I was objecting to. Where did that come from?
Are you understanding things better now?

Yes, initially you didn't say why or what you objected, so I had to guess.
That is why I did not understand then, but I do now, Thanks.

I said "political posts belong in the Attic section." Pretty clear.
I did not say "captions belong in the Attic" and I do not say "flags belong in the Attic." Yet you speculated that it was flags or captions that I was objecting to.
Thanks. Some days I wonder why it is so difficult to explain something so simple to some people. I think there is a saying something to the effect that " you can't see the light because the chip on your shoulder is so big".
