As I said in response to an earlier comment, I'm humbled by the responses that fellow hoggers have shared regarding this series of posts ... & I'm grateful for that & especially for those like yourself who took the time to make repeated comments. Thank you.

In case you didn't know about the Lamas you saw:
Guardian Llamas | MOTHER EARTH NEWS
www.motherearthnews.com/.../guardian-llamas-zbcz1309
Llamas are able to guard sheep, goats, cows with calves, deer, alpacas and poultry. Llamas are naturally aggressive towards foxes, coyotes and dogs, as well as some other predators.

Thank you Dragonslady ... I never knew that. They sound like a handy animal to have around. Although I lived & worked for a few years on a farm plus there are some local farms around here that have some, but I'm not personally familiar with them (other than seeing them in fields). I was interested & tried the link you sent, however, unfortunately it didn't work. So if you wouldn't mind re-sending it, I'd like to read it. And thanks looking & responding ... I appreciate you taking the time.

In search type: llamas as guardians

That will bring up several items about the llamas. The second one down is the one I quoted.

Thank you Dragonslady ... I did find the article ... I found it fascinating ... they are quite an animal. If anyone reading this post wishes to see the article she's referring to, you should be able to click on this link & get there:

Thank you for the looking & taking the time to comment David. I probably shouldn't say this on a public forum, however if you think my kitchen window & your desk look messy ... you ought to see my desk!!!! ;)

I did think of clearing the window ledge off when I took the photos, but then decided it really didn't matter ... at least to me.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Frank, I have ridden along with you silently agreeing with the praise of others. Now that you are home, I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed riding along with you, Chuck and Gem. Both the pictures and your comments were great. You travel the way I like to travel. When you go on your next journey, I and I am sure many other of us, are ready to ride along on that new adventure. Please give a Gem a scratch behind her ear from me. Thanks

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful comment RodeoMan. It is much appreciated. I've been very pleasantly surprised (& as I've said humbled) by the comments from so many who are such good photographers. The Mutt thanks you for the scratch ... she thinks it's always about her anyway ... glad you enjoyed the posts & I wish you well.

Frank, I've enjoyed your travel notes and photos. I felt like I was taking a bit of the journey with you. The big horn sheep photo was an especially terrific capture in this series. I'll look forward to joining you on your next adventure!

Thank you SteveF ... that is a very nice comment & I appreciate it. And you're right ... those sheep were something else ... I couldn't replicate that shot if it was scripted!!!! It's a good thing they were patient & really wanted whatever they were licking off the road ... because I had to wait for a moment when there wasn't a car in the shot. Thought about stopping traffic, but if you know the Icefields Parkway, it's a busy road. Thanks for looking & commenting. Best to you.
