Very good set, Rob, I had a 54 Chevy 4 door, built like a tank and I drove it like a tank, it never broke.

Thank you very much, Earnest; my grandfather had a car like this and it was rock solid and fun to drive.

I had a 53 for a few years when I lived in Chicago. It started and ran like a top, except it would not start when the temp was under 5d. F. But I loved that car...

Yes I had one of those also. 6 Volt system no cranking power in the cold weather. Trying to remember when they went to 12 volts, i'm thinking 1954 or 1955...

Nice, The Imperial WOW. Friends used to own a Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth dealership back in
the day and drove around in a white one! Never forget it! Beautiful.

Wrong on the 1954. Those headlight rims while properly chrome are the chrome rings for the 1953. The 1954 rings had a chrome "eyebrow" shape to them. The 1953 rings did not flare out on the top into a slight eyebrow, as did the 1954. Those are clearly 1953, as are the grille treatments.

I wish cars these days had metal dashboards, I hate plastic.

Not a race car, luxury the theme of the day. Get the right tool for the job.

While your description of the '54 Chevy is generally accurate, actually there was a major difference to the grille, with the '54 adding 2 extra bars to the '53's 3 bars. There were other minor changes as well.
A '54 Chevy was my second car at age 16, replacing my '41 Chevy convertible.

Also the tail and parking lights were different.

Very classy. The old wagoneer is the original SUV I think.
