She dug a hole and then abandoned it for another a foot away. I hope you find these interesting. Gary

Have a funny story about this process - don't want to impact your thread. I'll PM it to you later if you like.

I hope all the eggs hatch and they grow up to be productive snapping turtles.

These are great. Soon you'll have a yard full of snappers. Better make friends with her.

What a great set! We have a swampy pond and I'm sure those are in there, though I've only seen one once here - one the size of a dinner plate by our driveway. We gave it wide berth until it disappeared.

I saw a nest eruption once. The Crows came out of nowhere and took most of them. Some made it to the water. It was pure chaos! Gary

Thank you very much. I'll be friendly when they are tiny. As soon as they get big enough to remove a finger, I'll keep my distance! Gary

Thank you very much. We have a golf course nearby. I've seen them in there but I've never had one in the yard before. We've had a really wet spring, I assume that is the reason. It was cool to see but I don't want to see them lumbering through the yard on a regular basis. I like having 10 toes! Gary
